Cub Care Mentoring Program

The Larson Lions are a family, and the student children in our family are our cubs. Some of our cubs need our help - our mentoring help.
If you are interested in mentoring a Larson student, our cubs, please complete the Cub Care Mentor Questionnaire (see the PDF link below) and return it to the Larson Office or to Larson Counselor, Wendy Smith. Training of each mentor is provided.
It is a 45 minute per week commitment to mentor a Larson student.
Purpose of Larson's Cub Care Program
AISD Superintendent Jerry McCullough believes that if each of us can positively inspire one AISD child, it will greatly impact the success of our district and its students. That is the objective of the Larson Cub Care Mentoring Program - to make a difference in the lives of Larson students, one child at a time.
Our Goals Are To:
Provide role models for Cubs;
Raise aspirations and build self-esteem among Cubs;
Provide a one-on-one, supportive partnership, focused on the Cub's needs;
Create an environment that fosters a strong commitment to the Larson community;
Improve the academic performance and character development of all Cubs; and
Encourage Cubs to develop to their fullest potential and create a vision of the future.
